More About Tee
BAIZDON PUBLICATIONS I co-founded bespoke design agency and publishers BAIZDON with Johnny Morris. We believe outstanding places deserve great publications and so, we decided to produce them. In London these include for Tower Bridge, Up at The O2, The Gherkin, The Monument, The National Portrait Gallery and The Guildhall Art Gallery. Again it is about identifying gaps and producing solutions, in this case beautifully designed ones. www.baizdon.com
ASPIRE LEADERSHIP TRAINING COMPANY I am Aspire Leadership's Special Projects Director, and enjoy collaborating with them on select leadership and executive coaching projects. www.aspire-leadership.co.uk
EARLY EDUCATION CAREER I starting my career in primary education, moving through three promotions in quick succession. A year’s secondment to the prestigious Laban Centre followed. I went on to become the youngest person in the UK to be appointed to train teachers.
NIKE ATHLETE I moved into the Health and Fitness industry and managed the fitness programmes of two London health clubs (being responsible for 52 instructors, a revolving 200-class programme and the waistlines of 4,000 members). I was sponsored by Nike as a Nike Fitness Athlete for eight years and represented and presented for them worldwide. I became the first AFAA Certification Specialist in Europe training and certifying their instructors in the UK and the USA. Nomination as Fitness Leader of the UK followed. I co-wrote ‘The Crunch’ – a fitness book that was a best seller in 28 countries.
TRAINER OF THE YEAR I was part of Learning and Development company Impact Factory, for thirteen years, four at Director level. I created a huge library of work, designed and delivered programmes for an extensive client list and had a key role in training their executive coaches and partners. I was the consistently the most successful income generator at the company. In 2007 Eversheds awarded me ‘Trainer of the Year’.
ILM MANAGEMENT LECTURER My solid experience of designing and leading a variety of training programmes throughout local and central government includes three years of designing, co-ordinating and lecturing on ILM Management Courses for Tower Hamlets Council.
MD IN REYKJAVIK I was headhunted by LazyTown the global children’s entertainment company, and joined them in the summer of 2008 as Managing Director of the new LazyTownClub. I spent five enjoyable months working between Iceland and the UK, before the Icelandic banking crisis forced the closure of my new division. I loved my Winter working in Reykjavik (in December everybody goes outside during the few hours of daylight, whatever they are doing, so meetings and conversations were often held standing in the snow with me the only one wearing hat, scarf and gloves - the Icelanders being much more hardy!)
CONFIDENCE Knowing our levels of confidence go up and down, I am passionate about helping people having more confidence when they need it. I spent years perfecting a unique method to help people present with increased confidence and make the impact they want in every area of their working and personal lives. To extend this work to schools, I devised and led a four-year mentoring programme to help raise confidence and achievement levels for primary children. I trained teachers and teaching assistants to lead the work. The programme was commended as Outstanding by Ofsted.
