Which Hour Would You Choose To Have Again? October 27th 2013

Today I saw the clock go back. Literally. I arrived home at 1.58am and sat and watched as the clock on my phone hit 01.59 then back to 01.00. A whole hour to have again. As most of the last hour had involved sitting in a stationary queue just outside the Blackwall Tunnel I knew I certainly didn’t want to relive that hour – which made me think which hour would I want… Arriving home from the hospital with Ben 14 years ago or watching him play the guitar in the school rock band last week? That special birthday lunch with Maureen, Sally and Lesley at the Gherkin or laughing with Saul as he entertains me with one of his million funny voices. What about the 2012 Olympics – that’s it, I’d probably choose watching the closing ceremony on the big screen on Blackheath with Johnny, Ben and a big bunch of friends. Or maybe everyone sitting down to one of my Mum’s famous roast dinners.  Or just one more precious hour with my Dad who passed away in the Spring, yes, I think that would be would be what I would choose.

Realised all of the things that came instantly to mind involve happy times with family and friends. Must make sure, in this busy life I lead, to spend more time laughing with the people I love.

What about you? If you could live an hour again which one would you choose?...
