To prepare for his role in 'Mr Turner' Timothy Spall learnt to paint and ahead of the movie's release Hooligan Art Gallery organised a show of his paintings at Maison Bertaux. Johnny, Ben and I were invited. Maison Bertaux was packed and as exciting as ever, with guests spilling onto the streets and everyone being served drinks and cakes inside and outside, before, after and during viewing Timothy's art. Owner Michele Wade kindly introduced Ben to Timothy who was quite lovely to him (as he is to everyone by all accounts). Anyway - if you haven't seen the movie do - it's a gem and Spall is incredible, glad he won the Golden Globe and if you haven't been to Maison Bertaux go there too - that's incredible (and simple beautiful) too.
